A few years ago a friend asked me to look for dolls house miniatures on my trips abroad. As a flight attendant I traveled all over the world and in a few countries I managed to find some miniatures scale 1:12. On my trips to the U.S.A. in the months leading up to Christmas, I saw some lovely Christmas/winter scenes. My son, who was then 3½ years old, was fascinated by the Christmas village display at the local garden center, so I decided to build something similar myself. For inspiration my friend gave me a stack of dolls house magazines to read. Well, you probably understand what happened.... A few months later I bought a large dolls house, a Dutch canal house. |
